1. Overview
At Kalakar Guild, we strive to create a collaborative environment that respects the hard work of our editors and the investment of our clients. This policy outlines the procedures for project cancellation and refunds to ensure clarity and fairness for all parties involved.
2. Cancellation by Client
Before the project starts:
If a client cancels a project after funding it but before the editor has started any work, the client is eligible for a full refund, minus any non-refundable platform processing fees.
After the project has started:
If the editor has already begun working on the project, the refund amount will depend on the amount of work completed. This is typically handled through a mutual agreement between the client and the editor. If an agreement cannot be reached, it will be resolved through our Dispute Resolution process.
- Partial Work Completed: A partial refund may be issued based on the project milestones completed.
- Substantial Work Completed: In cases where a significant portion of the work is done, a refund may not be possible.
3. Cancellation by Editor
If an editor is unable to complete a project and decides to cancel, the client is entitled to a full refund of the remaining project funds. We encourage editors to communicate any potential issues to the client as early as possible.
4. Project Rejection by Client
Clients are encouraged to request revisions to get the desired output. However, if a client is completely unsatisfied with the final delivery even after revisions, they can reject the project. In such cases, the dispute will be mediated by the Kalakar Guild support team to determine an appropriate refund amount. Our decision will be based on the initial project requirements, communication between both parties, and the work delivered.
5. How to Request a Cancellation or Refund
To initiate a cancellation, please navigate to your project dashboard and select the 'Cancel Project' option. For refund requests or disputes, please contact our support team directly at support@kalakarguild.in with your Project ID and a detailed explanation of the issue.
6. Policy Changes
Kalakar Guild reserves the right to modify this Cancellation & Refund Policy at any time. We will notify users of any significant changes. It is your responsibility to review this policy periodically.
